Everyone has an opinion about Jesus—but at some point, it stops being theoretical.
Jesus asks, “Who do YOU say that I am?” In Mark 8, that question gets personal—and costly.
We all want a Savior who forgives everything…but are we willing to follow a Lord who asks for everything? Jesus doesn’t offer a comfortable, crowd-pleasing version of faith. He calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. That means surrender over control. Obedience over comfort. Purpose over preference. This message confronts the tension between the Jesus we want and the Jesus who is. Because the truth is—we don’t usually reject Jesus… we reshape Him.
But real life, the kind Jesus promises, isn’t found in holding on tighter—it’s found in letting go.
