Between Who I Am and Who I'm Becoming

What is forming your life right now?  In Philippians 3, Paul describes what happens when someone follows Jesus closely: their loves change, their identity changes, and their entire direction changes. This message explores the “in between” life of discipleship — between who we are and who we are becoming in Christ.  Using the ancient image of being “covered in the dust of your Rabbi,” this sermon challenges us to move beyond simply believing in Jesus to truly apprenticing under Him. Together we look at reordered affections, identity rooted in Christ instead of performance, Spirit-powered transformation, and the daily pursuit of becoming more like Jesus.
